    I came to Michelle being already quite knowledgeable about nutrition. I had tried multiple diet plans, always staying on track with calories, but still being very restrictive.     The moment I realized how unhappy I was with my 2 year postpartum body was in a photo from the fall of 2019 while I was gardening - overweight, out of shape and trying to live through pretty bad brain fog.     I think it’s fair to say as women we have all be on a at least one if not several diets in our life, shopped according to a size on a tag, and been unjustly comparative of our bodies in relation to someone else’s. The cycle is hard to break with all the new diets and fitness routines to choose from but I can finally say I found something that not only works but lasts. Changing my mindset, developing tools that I could use on my own and finding a way to be excited and accountable at the same time are just a few of the things that differentiate Michelle and The Michelle Method from other programs, because it’s not a program it’s a lifestyle. Her Macro Magic changed the way I ate, the way I ordered food at restaurants, and eliminated the need to strategically count calories. Her approach to protein intake was as life changing and impactful as the concept of wearing sunscreen to prevent wrinkles from sun damage. Daily movement and exercise suited to at home, quick, equipment free workouts removed the excuses of time, location or space.     After delivering my first baby via emergency c section I came home from the hospital with my beautiful bundle of joy and an extra 57 lbs. shocked and knowing I had a long road to recover physically I focused my weight loss effort on just food.

    Using a calorie deficit approach left me very weak and with no energy to care for my newborn but I struggled through not knowing any other way. Then 3 month after having my baby I then had to have my gallbladder removed. After this big change to my digestive system my body felt like a disaster with lots of trauma to my abdomen area.   • "I loved my time working with Michelle, and it was without a doubt one of the highlights of my year."

    My first impression when I saw Michelle on my Instagram explore page was this woman is my new girl crush. I mean have you seen her?! She is a babe, and just a straight up girl boss. Her recipes are to die for. I obviously instantly followed her. As I continued to see her post, I became interested in her nutritional coaching as I became more familiar with her nutrition philosophy.

    Her clients’ success stories were amazing and after following her for a few months I decided to make the investment in myself and my health. I wasn’t looking to lose weight but I wanted to learn more about what I need to be eating to fuel my day and feel great. I had a complicated relationship with food throughout my whole life (like a lot of other women sadly), from being the chubby girl, being too thin, etc. I also have struggled with IBS for the last decade.

    I wanted to learn to eat in a way that focused on nourishing my body and fuelling workouts, not counting calories or doing a labeled diet like keto (no judgment to anyone who does keto, you do you if you love it!). Initially I thought I wouldn’t have a ton to learn from Michelle. I thought I knew everything I needed to know, and boy was I so wrong. My protein was super low and my fats were super high, so we focused on balancing my diet out to ensure I was getting all the right macro and micro nutrients I needed in balance.

    What I loved about working with Michelle is I still got to eat the healthy fats I love, but it was in tandem with other foods to make sure I was feeling my absolute best. I never felt deprived, and I never felt shamed or guilty about any food I ate with Michelle. I still had my vodka sodas and chocolate, and I never felt any shame after having those things which was huge for me. This is not a restrictive dieting plan, this is learning to eat in a way you can enjoy your life and utilize it for decades to come. When Michelle told me I didn’t have to count calories I was so unsure and struggled at first, but she told me to have faith and stick with it and I’m so glad I did. I won’t lie, the first couple weeks trying to wrap your head around macros can be challenging, but Michelle is there with you every step of the way to guide you. I never felt overwhelmed or like giving up.

    Then as the weeks went on it all started to make sense, and gave me the confidence to feel good about my food choices and I’m now at the point where I feel confident in my ability to figure out my macros without spending that much time thinking about it. I loved my time working with Michelle, and it was without a doubt one of the highlights of my year. I have never felt more empowered.
